Communitarianism is a philosophy that emphasizes the connection between the individual and the community. While the ‘community’ may be a family unit, it is usually understood in the wider sense of interactions between a community of people in a geographical location, or who have a shared history or interest. Communitarian philosophy is derived from the assumption that individuality is a product of community relationships rather than individual traits.
Communitarianism, social and political philosophy that emphasizes the importance of community in the “functioning of political life,” in the analysis and evaluation of political institutions, and in understanding human identity and well-being. It arose in the 1980s as a critique of two prominent philosophical schools: contemporary liberalism, which seeks to protect and enhance personal autonomy and individual rights in part “through the activity of government,” and libertarianism, a form of liberalism (sometimes called “classical liberalism”) that aims to protect individual rights—especially the rights to liberty and property—“through strict limits on governmental power.”
Community over individual rights
The communitarian point of view believes giving up some measure of privacy serves the “common good.” That includes the FBI wire tapping your phone conversations, emails, medical records, computer access, videos you’ve rented, your credit card purchases, and personal information about your companion on your trip to Acapulco.
When government has total control over your privacy then they can “better protect you” and society by knowing everything there is to know about your personal life.
Communitarianism – Globalization and localization
- Philosophical communitarianism considers classical liberalism to be ontologically and epistemologically incoherent, and opposes it on those grounds. Unlike classical liberalism, which construes communities as originating from the voluntary acts of pre-community individuals, it emphasizes the role of the community in defining and shaping individuals. Communitarians believe that the value of community is not sufficiently recognized in liberal theories of justice.
- Ideological communitarianism is characterized as a radical centrist ideology that is sometimes marked by leftism on economic issues and moralism or conservatism on social issues. When the term is capitalized, it usually refers to the Responsive Communitarian movement of Amitai Etzioni and other philosophers.
- If an individual rejects a majority belief, such as the historic belief that slavery is acceptable, he or she will do so for reasons that make sense within the community. In this sense, the rejection of a single majority belief relies on other majority beliefs.
There are strong communitarian elements in many modern and historical political and religious belief systems—e.g., in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) and the Christian New Testament (Acts 4:32: “Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common”); in other words “NO ONE CLAIMED PRIVATE OWNERSHIP” in the early Islamic concept of shūrā (“consultation”); in Confucianism; in Roman Catholic social thought (the papal encyclical Rerum Novarum ); in moderate conservatism (“To be attached to the subdivision, to love the little platoon we belong to in society, is the first principle…of public affections”—Edmund Burke); and in social democracy, especially Fabianism.
Communitarian ideas have also played a significant role in “public life through their incorporation into the electoral platforms and policies of Western political leaders” of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, including British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende, and U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
Communitarianism is at the root of AGENDA 21. It equates to sustainable development at the global, regional, national and state levels. “Mass governance over all our property and rights.”
The three cornerstones of UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development are Economy, Ecology, and Social Equity = Communitarianism.
Economic collapse creates a chain of events, even on a micro level (county, city) there is a marked reduction in revenue for maintenance of services. We’re seeing that now with the 61 schools in Chicago closing down, and countless cities and town which are now under the control of the Department of Emergency Management.
Shuttered and padlocked businesses line Main Street in Stockton
Loss of services to outlying areas means, for example, roads not being maintained to rural and suburban areas. Roads not being maintained to those areas, schools not being supported in those areas, law enforcement/fire/social services not being supported in those areas means a gradual movement into the denser city centers. Add to that the increased cost of gasoline (manipulated), and the higher cost of energy (manipulated) to heat and cool statistically larger homes, and you have more pressure to leave rural and suburban areas.
Reduction of energy usage is key. Smart Growth/New Urbanism in Redevelopment Areas is the supposed answer: smaller units, attached condos, little or no parking, few private cars. More eyes on the street. Redevelopment projects are the implementation arm of the UN plan, and include rezoning of huge sections of your cities to Smart Growth zones. This physical manifestation of UN Agenda 21 is social engineering paid for with your property tax dollars. These areas then have their property taxes diverted away from your services and into the pockets of a few developers and bond brokers for 30-45 years. Result? Bankrupt cities and counties.
Don’t believe me? Do the math.
Agenda 21 is a plan of GLOBAL GOVERNANCE
“Effective execution of Agenda 21 will require a profound reorientation of all human society, unlike anything the world has ever experienced a major shift in the priorities of both governments and individuals and an unprecedented redeployment of human and financial resources. This shift will demand that a concern for the environmental consequences of every human action be integrated into individual and collective decision-making at every level.” – UN Agenda 21
To understand the invisible government of our world requires us to pursue their goals through the manipulation of the public. For instance, the War on Terror was really a guise to support American imperialism in the Middle East and to enact laws that restrict civil liberties at home. The idea of spreading freedom and democracy in Iraq was a front for securing America’s place among some of the critical resources of the Middle East. There are countless examples of these Resource Wars and how the globalists’ are advancing their agendas under false premises. Therefore, it’s necessary to develop a scrupulous outlook regarding the purported rationale behind any social or political development you see in the world around you. Whether or not you believe global warming exists, and whether or not resources like oil are running out, these fears are being used to justify moving our government toward a system heavy on central planning.
The invisible agenda of the most powerful people in the world is to impose an authoritarian global government.
These types of developments will become more controversial if history one day determines that Middle Eastern terrorists were not in fact behind 9/11 after all. When the global agenda reaches its end, we may finally see a single world governmental dictatorship realized. We may even look back and reminisce about the days when the world’s leaders still pretended on the surface to believe in democratic ideals.
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg writes in her minority opinion –
“The court today arms the police with a way routinely to dishonor the Fourth Amendment’s warrant requirement in drug cases. In lieu of presenting their evidence to a neutral magistrate, police officers may now knock, listen, then break the door down, never mind that they had ample time to obtain a warrant.
How ‘secure’ do our homes remain if police, armed with no warrant, can pound on doors at will and …forcibly enter?”
It’s time to find out everything there is to know about how municipal, county and state governments work. The concept of Communitarianism, which was a body of thought, is now being weaved into international and local government laws, starting at the top, the UN.
UN Agenda 21 Rio + 20 Summit, Locking People Off Public Lands
“Communitarianism is just a front that the UN is putting on a global system that incorporates the worst of central planning that we’ve ever even imagined.” Niki Raapana
Communitarianism refers to the theory that has resulted in the basis of a host of laws, documents, cataloging of the human and physical resources of a local areas, and a creative presentation of innovative ways that local governments can enforce their regulations.
The invasive language of these communitarianism laws and documents is laced with terminology about an individual’s responsibility over the collective. While in our current system societal ethics are encouraged, communitarian laws are worded more in terms of forcing people to sacrifice their own good for the good of the collective (ref) . This language brings the government deeper into our everyday lives and it uses language about our responsibility to our community to make this responsibility mandatory.
In the past, we were encouraged, but not forced to take measures that protect our environment. The gradual creeping of the globalist agenda is now requiring us, by force, to take these kinds of measures. Thus far, it’s been easy to force people to carry out hidden agendas under the pretense of “saving the environment,” which in reality, is hiding their true political motives.
The underlying legal theory behind communitarianism is called the ‘Communitarian Supremacy of Law,” It’s the law of the European Union. It’s the law of the The World Trade Organization (WTO), NAFTA, and CAFTA, all these trade agreements are based in the theory of communitarianism. Communitarianism is being weaved into our laws as if it has always been part of our language, when in fact it hasn’t.
The philosophy behind communitarianism is rooted in the theory of 19th century political philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel. Hegel’s works have been extremely influential in communist theory throughout history. Although Hegel’s writings are very complex and subject to interpretation, Hegel’s fundamental concept of creating history as opposed to writing it. To write history would be to document historical events in the manner that a journalist would. To create history, in this theory, is to manipulate how the public behaves through a series of well-planned orchestrations.
A fictional example of how to create history would be to inject into a controversial issue into the realm of public debate, for example some new idea on changing immigration law in some way. The controllers of this sequence would know in advance that the spotlighting of this single issue will cause some of the people to take one stance, and the rest of the people to take the opposite stance, and some ideological compromise would then take place which fits perfectly into the plans of those who created the idea to begin with.
A more violent example of the idea of creating history would be for the covert operations agents to go into a country where two groups are in conflict, and stage an attack against one of the sides in the conflict. Those who were attacked will automatically believe that their enemies are to blame, and will strike back. The outcome of the escalation of violence between the two groups would be some pre-planned sequence of events that would benefit the government whose covert operations carried out the attack.
This type of “creation of history” has become more overt in light of the global public’s pathetic inability to mount meaningful objections to these types of operations.
Why don’t we just call it like it is: The US is carrying on a pre-planned script to remove all the dictators we’ve put into power without crossing the line of alarming the American public to the fact that we’re behind it. All of it!
We’ll just keep moving on to the next Middle Eastern country. The obvious reason: strategic control of oil pipelines and other Resource in order to maintain our global supremacy over Russia and China.
Having described the manner in which the idea of creating history is fundamental to Hegelian and therefore communist thought and the ways it’s being used, the a certain quote by Karl Rove becomes particularly suspicious.
”We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”
Did Rove and the other criminals within George W. Bush’s presidency literally see themselves as carriers of the communist torch? Were they so drunk with power that they brazenly mixed in communist rhetoric with their everyday language?
Communitarianism is being kept from the public, because it’s being integrated into society mostly at the academic level. It’s not being presented to the people as an argument in any of the countries where this is happening to them.
Agenda 21 is based entirely in communitarian ideology. From National Health Care to the Bank Bailout to the Stimulus Package to Stop the IRS and End the Fed, it’s all communitarian. Yet the actual word, communitarianism, is missing from your protests and debates. Our entire country is being led down a communitarian path without any idea of how it’s happening.
Communitarianism is the belief that individual and national sovereignty must be balanced against the needs of the global collective. Their entire foundation for forced social evolution rests on their Big Idea that all the world’s people will be “free” after everyone gives up any claims to their personal freedom. Defined as the new “spirit” of community, Communitarians believe they are leading mankind into an advanced moral and spiritual state of being. Across the globe, communitarian gurus promote a global program designed to create one big, planned, gated community. They call it sustainable community development.
Communatarians believes most parents are failing to discharge their responsibility adequately, as a result of these societal and parental failures, too many of “our children” are being deprived of their opportunity to develop into responsible adults and contributing citizens; this deprivation constitutes a profound threat to the health of our common life; and that therefore, Communatarians must act with urgent shared purpose to strengthen families in order to improve the prospects for our children and community.
Communatarians stand united in their belief that our nation dares not further delay the implementation through personal commitment, the voluntary institutions of civil society, and public action of a coherent Communatarian -family agenda.
Communitarians Education Agenda
Now that some people have learned Agenda 21 and Communitarianism, looked into it, and decided they don’t want it, their opposition has been relegated to a right wingnut conspiracy. Yet, many documents exist that say otherwise, and this is but one of thousands that confirm our worst suspicions about the plan:
How Far We’ve Come!
The communitarian ideolgy has penetrated deep into the American heartland. From the colleges to the K-12 programs, it is 100% Communitarianism being taught to the future leaders of the USA. The Communitarian Residence Life Movement in Delaware
is just the tip of the iceberg. Our people are jumping on the Communitarian “feel good” bandwagon like there’s no tomorrow. In Madison, Wisconsin, The Hamilton Middle School Handbook open with:
“With education comes understanding, and with understanding comes a better sense of ourselves. I am a communitarian. I believe in giving back to thecommunity. A community is not a place- it is a system of values. A strong system of values prepares our young people to live and think clearly in the world.” – Velma Bell Hamilton”
Americans are still being “educated” to think and act like good little communitarian slaves. We can’t even tell the difference anymore between an intentional communitarian fellowship and a government run communitarian program.
We need to oppose forced social evolution. We need to collectively object to communitarian programs, policies, and laws being enforced upon nations that have not legally adopted supremacy of communitarian law.
The primary goal should be to make the changeover to communitarian government open to public debates in every affected country. This can’t be done without your help!

THE WHITE HOUSE,

The U.N. Plan for “Sustainable” Communities
By Berit Kjos – 1998
Note: This global contract binds all nations to the collective vision of “sustainable development.” They must commit to pursue the three E’s of “sustainability”: Environment, Economy and Equity referring to the UN blueprint for environmental regulations, economic manipulation, and social equity. (See also Habitat 2)
The Local Agenda 21 Planning Guide — a UN manual for global transformation (which I brought home from the 1996 UN Conference on Human Settlements in Istanbul) was prepared by The International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI). Community leaders around the world are now called to implement a new “Communitarian” system of governance which overrides our constitutional rights and freedoms.
“Land…cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes. Public control of land use is therefore indispensable….” (Item #10 in the UN agenda at the 1976 Habitat 1. American delegates supported this policy)
These three updates illustrate United Nations’ “progress” toward implementation of its Marxist agenda:
1. Agenda 21: Fact, not conspiracy. “While liberal journalists continue to claim that Agenda 21 is just a ‘conspiracy theory’ being advanced by right-wing crackpots, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the International Council for Environmental Law (ICEL) have released their fourth Draft of the International Covenant on Environment and Development. This document was designed from the beginning to convert the ‘soft-law’ non-binding Agenda 21 into firmly binding global law – enforceable through the International Criminal Court and/or the dispute resolution features of the Convention on the Law of the Sea.
2. The United Nations bans opposition to its Global Tax Design. “When United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced his plan ‘to fundamentally transform the global economy — based on low-carbon, clean energy resources,’ few realized he was calling for a new global tax….The UN’s one nation, one vote system has been used since its founding to render the U.S. impotent, regardless of the fact that we are its major financial donor….Banning the press and global tax opponents from its July 13-14 tax design meeting in Tokyo, Japan, for example, is anathema to a democratic process, but the UN is not a democracy. Rather, its unelected bureaucrats use a ‘collaborative decision-making process’ to reach ‘consensus’ with no debate or expressed opposition…..
“The purpose of the Fund is to enable the UN to implement its global blueprint for sustainable development called Agenda 21. This green agenda is the new Marxism that requires government ensured economic equity…. Granting the UN the right to tax would be like giving it a blank check for future use. …Two years ago, it estimated the cost at $600 billion annually for the next decade, but today its estimate is at least $1.9 trillion annually for the next 40 years or $76 trillion.”
3. The New ‘White House Rural Council’ = UN’s Agenda 21? “On June 9, 2011, President Obama signed his 86th Executive Order….E.O 13575 is designed to begin taking control over almost all aspects of the lives of 16% of the American people….
“Warning bells should have been sounding all across rural America when the phrase ‘sustainable rural communities’ came up. As we know from researching the UN plan for Sustainable Development known as Agenda 21, these are code words for the true fundamental transformation America.’ But how will burdened farmers and other tax-payers pay the extra costs…?”
God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

2 Ibid. Maurice Strong was vice-president of Dome Petroleum (by age 25), first executive director of the UN Environmental Programme, founder of Planetary Citizens, director of the World Future Society, founder and co-chair of the World Economic Forum, member of the Club of Rome, trustee of the Rockefeller Foundation and Aspen Institute, and member of the UN Commission on Global Governance. He heads the Earth Council, which works with the UN to implement an Earth Charter-a global code of conduct based on earth-centered spirituality and globalist values. Its publication, Earth Ethics, suggests that apes, our “fellow animals”, should be treated as “full members of the community of equals.”

Agenda 21 and America
IMF and US Sponsored Dictatorships
Over the past few years we’ve seen a rising swell of opposition against Agenda 21 in the United States. It’s becoming harder for Americans to not see that something is very wrong in America. We’ve also seen our book orders triple in the last few months, and a huge percentage of the orders are coming from the UK and the EU. People are catching on to the hidden nature of the plan, and seeking information at a level that almost gives me a renewed sense of hope. There are hundreds of new websites and articles about Agenda 21 flooding the internet. While some are innacurate, borrow heavily from other people’s research and provide no new information, the good news is, they’re not all conservatives. The opposition to the big lie is not only coming from Christian and Right Wing perspectives; just one “Democrat” site opened the whole topic up to a general audience uncomfortable with the idea of aligning themselves with the Eagle Forum and the John Birch Society. Lucky for all of us, that one Democrat site uses the term “Communitarianism” to define the political theory driving Agenda 21 and all Sustainable Development around the world. Lucky for us, Rosa Koire still links to our websites and many people have found the ACL via her. Because of our low-key approach and our aversion to advertising ourselves, and because the JBS and their network of Christian affiliates do not even mention our work (even when they use it in their articles), there is no one in the “information war” who knows what Communitarianism is, or if they do know, they aren’t willing to take the time to explain it properly. We are not Right Wing Christians and there were very few Christian writers I was willing to cite at the ACL ten years ago when we built the website. In fact I purposely avoided republishing any of the religious views thinking that was unnecessary and clouded the issue. I provided links to religious people I thought were offering good research, and included in those lists were several I have since learned to distrust. It’s okay, it’s all part of the learning process that this kind of work requires, and our attachments to people and dialectical pieces are sometimes very deeply held and unbreakable. Especially when it comes to religion. So I avoided it, wanting to leave something for people to hold on to and find out more about their own beliefs on their own. Today I see communitarianism is the global religion, and my next book is exploring the expanding communitarian religion, and all the churches embracing it, in detail. It’s the final key to putting the whole plan into perspective, and as painful as it may be for some people to pull back this final veil, it has to be written.Over the years I tried hundreds of ways to explain it to the laymen who begged us for a “simple” explanation.
The confusion about what the term “communitarianism” actually means continues. That’s why any beginner to the topic needs to know right up front that Communitarianism was designed to confuse us. We’re not ever supposed to understand it. It’s considered as, “most notable for its vagueness.”
The new ACL website will have a beginner series of articles about Communitarianism and several new topic sections. After 14 years of studying and writing about Communitarianism, after a few years in the social networks meeting like-minded folks and some not so like minded, I’m ready to take ACL research to the next level, and put our information into the “game.” And so is Nordica, without whom there would be no ACL, and no new ACL Books site. It should be going up in the next couple days. I’ll let you know when it’s up.
